Acteon imaging plates are storage phosphor plates designed for use with the PSPIX® and PSPIX® 2 desktop scanners (and other compatible phosphor-plate scanners). They capture the radiographic image during exposure, then release it as a digital image when scanned at the chairside unit, replacing single-use intraoral film and enabling all the editing, enhancement and storage benefits of digital radiography. Plates are flexible, comfortable for the patient, and can be reused several thousand times before image degradation when handled correctly. Supplied in standard intraoral sizes — Size 1 for paediatric, anterior and bitewing imaging, and Size 2 for general adult bitewings and periapicals — packaged as 2-plate units.
